To answer a few questions:
The reason we change the lyrics a bit was because it was performed at a talent show for family weekend at a Christian university, so we decided not to be a little more sensitive. Also, the reason the soprano decided not to sing on some of the words at the end to maintain the integrity of the piece and ensure the best blend and intonation.
